After the hipe for the cobble stones of the 'Muur van Geraardsbergen', Studio Schrever and Editions Eigenbegeer have presented their photobook in Mars 2004:
'De Muur van Geraardsbergen.'

This book tells about a wall: a wall of sportsmen, a wall of heroes who tried over and over again to conquor this steep and legendary climb of cobble stones.

The book counts 60 pages, format A4, with 150 unique colorphotos in quadri.

 

The book tells the story about 'De Muur', and its renovation in 2003-2004. Also encountered is his part in the Tour of Flanders, with exclusive pictures of the cyclists passing on the steep climb.
Last but not least, is enlighted the very last passing-through on the original 'Muur van Geraardsbergen': the authentique Muur has been renovated, these images are history.
In the epilogue, real cylcing heroes are portraited, with a cobble stone of the 'Muur': Eddy Merckx, Freddy Maertens, Hendrik Redant and others.
