In Mars 2005, Studio Schrever and Editions Eigenbegeer
have presented a photobook about the Tour of Flanders.
The Author, Wim Schrever, didn't want to make a copy of earlier
books: as a photographer, he choose to tell his story with photos,
combined with some of his own poetry about the legendary Tour.
The book starts at the 'Paddestraat', where the real battle
begins, and shows every single steep climb and cobble stone.
The photos are taken outside the competition, in two different
seasons: in Spring and in Automn. The combination of the seasonary
photo's gives a sudden

tension, the drama and interaction of time and
scenery.
The book is an honour tot the King of Tours himself, and tells
the story of the scenery behind the Tour.
The last chapter is devoted to the cycling champions: they are
portraited and asked for their experiences throughout their
cycling career.
Format of the book is A5 oblong (148x210 mm horizontal) and
counts 150 exclusive photos, printed in high-quality quadri,
144 pages and is ..knitted brochured, with a full quadri cover.
